HELP THE FFF

Spread the Word
Let people know when the Floating Folk Festival is playing. In the world of live and local music, attendance is life. If you are a performer who distributes a newsletter that lists your upcoming shows, how about including a list of upcoming shows for the Floating Folk Festival, even if you are not scheduled to appear? If you are on the bill, consider issuing a press release with photos, bios, etc. If people are not aware of a show, they will not know to attend. You can also advertise an upcoming show in the guestbook.

Attend the Shows
Performers need audiences, and clubs need customers. Show up, eat, drink, be merry, tip well, and make noise! (between songs, preferably) Support the musicians and the people who hire them. After the show, visit the website, and post comments in the guestbook.

Buy Floating Folk CDs
If you already have copies of both CDs, buy one for a friend - they make great gifts! Both are available from Planetary Records, and can be purchased at any Plan 9 Music Store, as well as Amazon.com and MP3.com. The faster we sell Volumes I and II, the sooner we can record and release Volume III. To hear tracks from the first two Volumes, click here.

Shop at Plan 9
Always do your music shopping at Plan 9, and encourage friends to do the same. Plan 9 has done more for local music than all the other record stores combined will ever do for the next hundred years. Remember, "friends don't let friends buy CDs from anywhere other than Plan 9".

Thank the Supporters
Handshakes, smiles, words of thanks, and friendly e-mails to those who hire or support us are great ways to ensure the continued success of the Floating Folk Festival.
